A nickel mounted cello bow, stamped 'Tubbs', the rounded stick appears to be of partridge wood, with nickel and mother-of-pearl mounted frog, length 71.5cm, weight 75g

Provenance - Margherita Tedeschi (d. 1986). Possibly Miss R. Backhouse (Blackhouse?).

The fillet of nickel between the stick and the frog is a little raggedy with some tiny losses to the ebony next to the area. Minor scratching to the nickel mounts. Stamped mark is a little worn. The bow hair is broken. The tip of the bow has a few tiny dents to the timber, otherwise in good condition.
