A French fashion doll, late 19th century, probably Jumeau or Gaultier, impressed mark '8' to both bisque swivel head and shoulder plate with fixed brown glass eyes, painted lashes and feather brows, closed mouth, and pierced ears with gilt bead earrings and red wig with cork pate, kid leather body and limbs, body unmarked but with similar stitching to a Jumeau body and limbs, wearing a shot silk and lace dress, H.51cm

Slight crack on the inside of the crown edge of head, noticeable from the inside not the outside - possibly a firing crack. No cracks to shoulders.
