Condition:
Oil on a wooden panel which may well be cut down as the framing seems rather tight against the image. Very dirty with a number of small dents scattered throughout, an inverted L-shaped line of shiny varnish running across the top and down the right side with some bitumen sauce bubbling, some craquelure noted in the dark black border. Housed in a 19th-century gilt gesso frame which is now very tatty, indistinct inscriptions on the back of the panel.
