A Louis XV style ormolu mounted kingwood serpentine commode, with rouge marble top and two drawers, on cabriole legs, W.3ft 1in. D.1ft 6.5in. H.2ft 8in.

An old crack and sign of breaks to the back right corner of the marble which has been repaired to good effect.
Ormolu mounts complete but rubbed at the extremities and raised areas from polishing.
Overall carcase has a dull finish, the result of some sun bleaching but still retians some differentiation of colour. Some darker stain has been used to retouch small areas, most notably just below where the drawers run.
Key works both locks.
Looks to date to the mid 20th century.
Overall a fair item that really just needs some repolishing.
