A Chinese Ming Longquan celadon tripod censer, 16th century, the exterior incised with foliage, on three mythical beast mask feet, D. 27cm, hairline cracks
There are four hairline cracks to the rim of the censer, some extending down further and curving around through the glaze and there are a few small glaze nibbles to the edge of the rim, there is wear to the bottom of the feet consistent with age and use, and there is some quite heavy scratching to the interior glaze of the censer with an unglazed burnt orange patch in the middle, otherwise in reasonable condition.
