A 'growler' nodding bull dog, 20th century, with nickel chain operating the growler and jaw,

Provenance - The vendor's mother acquired this figure around 40 years ago.

Overall a little rubbed and worn commensurate with age, tips of the ears are worn down to the base material as are raised extremities, some of the felt applied to the body is also worn further down near the tips of the feet, tip of the tail etc. eyes intact, teeth and extremities within the mouth also showing signs of wear, red collar is faded, light scratching to the metal plates beneath the feet, castors all intact, metal chain slightly oxidised, growler mechanism working when pulled the mouth opens and a "bark" is omitted.
