The veneering of the ivory and tortoiseshell is lifting and curled and slightly cracked in places, there is a large chip loss to a block of ivory on one corner and one section of ivory completely lacking on the other, there are two drawers at each end, one is a little stiff to open, all of the chess pieces are present and may have the occasional nick or small chip to edges, the draught pieces may not be complete.
