An Italian pietra dura topped tripod table, late 19th century,
the circular top inlaid with specimen stones including lapis lazuli, malachite and cuts of marble, decorated as a robin carrying a strand of pearls, in flight amongst insects, over a Reformed Gothic brass base with scrolling supports over a knopped column and three paw feet, mounted in red cabochon stones, 75.5cm high, 56.5cm diameter

Condition:
The top is fixed to the base, but it’s possible the fixings can be removed. The top has a few small splinter chips to the edge and some small losses to the edge. There are three scrolled supports beneath the top each with a flower head boss to each side. One of these flowerheads is lacking a few of the petals, the brass/bronze base is a little tarnished, otherwise in good condition.
