Each with original inset label at back of chair cresting, “British Empire Exhibition, 1924, Chinese Restaurant”. One chair, images 4-9: seat stained, small repaired section at front of seat; two stretchers split; cresting joint with top-rail disturbed; occasional losses of pearl inlay. Other chair better; occasional losses to pearl inlay; cresting joint and centre of seat rail disturbed, images 10-12. Both chairs sit stably.
