Margaret Helen Barnard was a British artist, painter, and printmaker associated with the modernist Grosvenor School. Born in Bengal, India, she studied at the Glasgow School of Art and later trained under Claude Flight in London, where she developed her distinctive linocut style. During the Second World War, she served as an ambulance driver before returning to her artistic career. Barnard exhibited widely throughout her life, including at the Royal Academy
