An Edwardian carved sycamore trompe l’oeuil necessaire box, modelled as a leather travelling trunk, with vacant oval brass cartouche to the hinged cover, realistically modelled with twin straps secured by buckles, and twin open handles, borders carved to simulate stitched leather and mounted with brass studs, enclosing a blue silk lined interior fitted with cuticle set to underside, the implement handles also in carved sycamore with imitation stitched leather borders, 8.5cm high, 23cm wide, 17cm deep
