A Victorian enamel, pearl and diamond pendant, mid 20th century and later, designed as an oval pendant suspending a heart-shaped locket, applied with blue enamel and set with split pearls and rose-cut diamonds, the locket with a glazed compartment to the reverse, mounted in gold, pendant length 3.7cm, later gold chain, length 42cm, gross weight approximately 7 grams

Condition:
Shallow chips to blue enamel, one small section of metal visible towards edge of top section, but nothing particularly obvious. Possibly a component from a larger jewel, but three sections of pendant appear original to each other. Pearls untested, diamonds bright and lively. Pendant tests as approximately 18ct gold but unmarked and not guaranteed. Glazed locket compartment to reverse of heart section wedged in place, slightly jutting out - appears original. Scratch to glass but in good condition. Chain with discoloration to bolt ring, which is possibly a later base metal replacement. Chain marked for 9ct gold, in good condition.
