A pair of George II cast silver candlesticks by William Gould, with later? associated unmarked sconces, with waisted columns, on shaped square bases, London, 1740, height 16.5cm, 27.3oz.

Condition:
Probable old silver solder repair around the shoulder of one candlestick. Minor nicks and surface scratches commensurate with age and some use and some wear to the decoration in places, mainly to the raised ares around the bases and the columns. One wobbles slightly on a flat surface. Generally the surfaces of both appear quite tired. Hallmarks clear. No engravings. Sconces unmarked, possibly later matched??
