Attributed to Edward Spencer for the Artificers Guild, circa 1911, a fine mother of pearl, citrine and chalcedony Arts and Crafts necklace, early 20th century, the necklace composed of knotted rope twist links, set with cabochons of citrine, chalcedony and mother of pearl, suspending a layered pendant composed of bird and star motifs in rope twist borders, a fluted chalcedony bead, cabochons of citrine and mother of pearl cabochons carved with poppy motifs, mounted in silver, necklace length 43.5cm, length at front 8.2cm, inscribed JC from DYC 25-12-1911, fitted case stamped The Artificers' Guild Ltd

Provenance: The Scottish print artist Sir David Young Cameron RA (28 June 1865 – 16 September 1945), gifted to his wife Jeanie Cameron, née Jeanie Ure Maclaurin, on Christmas Day 1911 - earlier in the year he was elected Associate of the Royal Academy (ARA) in the engraver class. The couple were happily married in 1896 until Jeanie's death in 1931.

Knot motif link to left of rectangular chalcedony panel with some distortion and possible repair, but not obvious - section appearing to be a repair may be part of original studded decoration. Otherwise no major issues beyond normal minor wear. Original fitted case in good, stable condition, typical wear.
