A garniture of five Japanese Arita vases, Genroku period (1688-1704), each painted in Imari palette with temples in a landscape, three vases of octagonal ovoid form, the domed covers with onion shaped finials, on a circular foot, height, and two vases of slender octagonal waisted form, on a circular foot, height 62cm and 43cm, some damage

Condition:
One of the three vases - neckrim rivet-repaired; cover clearly repaired and finial re-attached, images 4 and 5. Second of the three vases neckrim clearly repaired in two areas with chipped section at outside of neck; cover crudely repaired and finial re-attached, images 6 to 9. Third of the three vases shallow chips around neckrim inside neckrim; otherwise good; cover finial re-attached, image 10. One flared vase cracked at neckrim; firing cracks at interior; base drilled, images 11 and 12. Second flared vase generally good. All with some wear to gilding and surface scuffs.
