From the estate of the well regarded Lewes collector, Brian Cramp. The 1988 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is a wine that I have tasted four times over some 20 years. Now in its third decade, it is clearly at full maturity. It has a beguiling bouquet with impressive detail and focus, those red berried fruits blossoming from the glass, Morello cherries commingling with white-tipped strawberries interlaced with crushed stone.
