Look for a ripe, plum, cherry jam and anise nose with lots of coffee vanilla, leather and barnyard notes. Supple structure with richness and ripe tannins. Big coffee, vanilla, smoky oak anise, cherry jam and tobacco flavours. A bit warm but quite elegant and long. Very modern, ripe Bordelais style with some balance for early consumption but it should easily improve in bottle for another five years. The blend is 75/25 merlot/cabernet sauvignon.
