A fine Victorian enamel and diamond bracelet, mid 19th century, designed as a coiled snake, its body formed of three flexible openwork bangles with an expanding clasp, its head applied with blue basse-taille enamel and set with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, its eyes set with cabochon rubies, its mouth holding a similar blue enamel and diamond heart-shaped locket, the reverse with a glazed compartment of woven hair, mounted in gold and silver, the interior of the bangle with a base metal spring, inner circumference approximately 16cm, gross weight approximately 57 grams
