This and a number of other costume jewels replicating originals found in the tomb of Tutankhamun (reigned c. 1332-1323 B.C.) were commissioned by the Times Newspaper from jewellers Thomas Fattorini in conjunction with the British Museum's Tutankhamun exhibition in 1972.
