An unusual Chinese enamelled porcelain dish, Guangxu six character mark and of the period (1875-1908), painted with black and white birds in flight with a grape vine above and shrubs below, on a coral ground decorated with white enamel flowerheads and scrolling tendrils, the blue banded border painted with Shou medallions and blue scrolling tendrils, the underside with iron red six character mark ‘Da Qing Guangxu nianzhi’ and the border with bamboo sprigs, 40cm

Wear to the gilding on the edge of the dish, typical minor glaze imperfections, grubby in places and would benefit from a clean, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected. 40cm width. Metal plate hanger not removed.
