An 18th century, George III gentleman’s, ribbed cream silk waistcoat, embroidered with fine polychrome silks and gold sequin embroidery, the front designed with small spot floral motifs and a vining floral border with matching ornately embroidered pocket flaps. The back being thicker, plain cream ribbed silk with a cotton belt. Front chest panel to under arms 52cm.
