A Chinese silver epergne, early 20th century, with a central trumpet vase surrounded by three removable silver removable trumpet vessels, engraved with pomegranate branches, on a stepped circular foot, indistinct maker’s mark and standard mark 85, height 21cm
Provenance - acquired in the 1920s by an employee of the Netherlands-America Steamship Company. He lived and worked in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Jakarta from c.1920-1932; thence by family descent.
