A pair of shell cameo earrings, second half 19th century, each set with a shell cameo depicting the goddess Diana/Artemis, within a frame decorated with foliate engraving, suspending a fringe of pendants, mounted in gold, length 4.3cm, later screw fittings

Condition:
One cameo with crack through one side, restuck. Quite a neat break, not particularly obvious from front and secure at time of writing. Cameos approximately 18 x 15mm each, carving in good condition. Some minor traces of lead solder where hoops have been attached/repaired at top. Later tops stamped 9ct. Overall in good, wearable condition. One pendant on fringe deficient, some pendants with minor dents. 7.5 grams total approx.
