A jet and bog oak necklace, second half 19th century, composite, oval pendant carved with the monogram EHI, to a chain composed of graduated moulded bog oak links, pendant 7.2cm including bail, necklace length 53cm

Condition:
Jet pendant with oval compartment to reverse, likely with glazed compartment deficient, some chips to edges. Bail attached via metal jump ring, which is drilled into top of pendant, some associated chipping. Likely later associated with bog oak chain, clasp possible later.
