A Chinese famille rose vase, Qianlong seal mark, but Republic period, painted with figures in a river landscape with pavilions, underglaze blue flower and foliate borders, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 27.5cm

Provenance - acquired in the 1920s by an employee of the Netherlands-America Steamship Company. He lived and worked in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Jakarta from c.1920-1932; thence by family descent.
