An Italian 18th century finely embroidered depiction of the “Immaculate Conception” showing Mary and Christ wearing crowns, Mary with flowing robes standing below a halo of stars, above a crescent moon with angelic putti motif. The background worked in long stem stitch, the garments embroidered with fine ornate patterns, in coloured silk threads, highlighted with gold and silver borders. 15cm x 23.75cm.
