A large Chinese 19th century gold silk embroidered cream shawl, two corners embroidered with large peonies and a peacock surrounded by flowers, the other two corners with two figures in a pagoda with a musician and dancer, surrounded by flowers. The shawl is filled with embroidery and bordered with deep heavy cream silk fringing, 164cm x 168cm.
