The equestrian figure of Marcus Curtius was modelled by Desoches around 1773; see Beatrix Freifrau von Wolff Metternich/ Manfred Meinz, Die Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg, vol.II, ill.291, for the coloured example in the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum, Braunschweig, dated to c.1805.
