A large Japanese Hirado double walled blue and white vase and cover, 19th century, the trumpet shaped neck with black petal lappets to the border above clouds and pierced bird motives, above bulbous centre painted with frothing waves, on spreading foot, the cover moulded with petal lappets and surmounted by a Shi-shi and brocaded ball finial, 36.5cm high, faults

Condition:
It appears as though the trumpet section of the vase has been detached and re glued at the join. Typical flaws in the manufacture.
