An unusual Japanese Kutani shell shaped vessel, 19th century, the cover painted with a farmer and modelled with a bamboo shoot handle, signed ‘kutani’ to one side, 27cm cross, minor faults

Condition:
The narrow tip of the claw has been detached and re glued. Narrow tip of cover has been re built (restored). There is a small splinter chip to the upper rim of the body. Several firing cracks throughout the piece which also has typical crackle to the glaze throughout.
