A wide flounce of fine ornate hand made 19th century Brussels bobbin lace, appliquéd onto a net ground, possibly commissioned for a wedding gown, now sewn together along the top edge and the two cut ends also stitched together, 506cm long x 45cm deep. Condition - there are a few mends to the netting near the top edge where it has torn from use, acceptable from something of this age.
