Contents - large tissue guarded armorial frontis. in gold and colour; decorated title and 13ff. of calligraphic script; 16ff. genealogy on a carefully designed system (with printed explantory note) and with 9 hand coloured armorials; 3ff. tissue guarded hand coloured armorials of allied families; contemp. gilt ruled Oxford blue and mustard levant morocco, panelled spine, ge. and gilt turn-ins (by Henderson & Bissey), 4to. (? Vogrie), 1901. *the long established (Dewar family had acquired the Vogrie Estate (Midlothian) in the earlier 18th century; over the years they had served in various official capacities - the military, magistracy, as deputy lieutenants, the East India Company (both civil and military); the author saw service with the King's Dragoon Guards, thereafter with Prince Albert's Hussars. A carefully compiled and handsomely produced volume - of which Lord Lyon himself would surely have approved.
