A large early 20th century Siamese silver and niello mounted rectangular photograph frame, with gilt metal surmount (a.f.), (possibly a Royal cypher) and decorated with figures amid scrolling foliage, inset with a later photograph of His Majesty King Ananda Mahidol, aged 13, 43.5cm, by 32.3cm, housed in a gilt tooled fitted leather Thai Hakon, Bangkok case.

Condition:
Silver a little tarnished in places. Niello work in good order, commensurate with age. Red leather backing a little scuffed in places. Silk for arm broken. Gilt surmount has a piece missing. Leather case has a piece missing and other damage including splits and scuff marks. Probably a photograph not photogravure.
