A late 19th century English, possibly ‘North Country’ cotton, hand quilted bed cover. Worked in stripes, with alternate patch worked stripes of differing colour fabrics. Made from fashionable cotton fabrics of the era. Reverse side quilting worked on plain cream cotton. 238 cm x 218cm.
Condition - the colours and the fabrics are still strong. There are various marks, to be expected with age and use.
