Two graduated Chinese famille verte octagonal dishes, Kangxi period, each painted with two courting birds in a garden with pine tree, flowers and a jardiniere, phoenix and peony border, moulded edge, sprigging to the underside, 34.4cm and 31.4cm across, both with small section of rim broken and re-glued

Condition:
Typical minor glaze imperfections. The larger of the two dishes has a small piece missing (impact) at one corner, a small piece has been re glued in the same area and there is a hairline crack (approx 5.5cm long) emanating from it. The smaller of the two has a re glued ‘W’ shaped area at the rim, with some small pieces missing along the joins. There is a trail of loose and hardened glue emanating from this area. Both pieces have shallow splinter chips to their rims.
