Y A collection of jewels, comprising: a brooch designed as a beetle set with cabochon pastes, length 3cm; a Chinese necklace composed of a carved plaque, possibly lavender jadeite, within a mount decorated with a bird flying among blossoming branches, suspended from a single row of carved agate beads, length 45.5cm, Chinese maker's mark, later magnetic clasp; a two-row coral bead necklace, beads approximately 5.5mm diameter, to a gilt silver clasp, length 47cm; a Scottish hardstone brooch mounted in silver, 5.2cm diameter; and a silver and marcasite brooch modelled as a rose

Condition:
Generally in good condition. Chinese necklace is composite - setting is upside down to necklace attachment, carved plaque with surface-reaching fissures - possibly jadeite, but untested. Coral beads with some surface-reaching fissures. Beetle brooch with bent legs. Scottish and marcasite brooches in good condition. All with some general wear.
