A framed Napoleonic military document relating to Lieutenant General Sir John Moore and the Peninsula Wars, including details of the placing of infantry units and signed on a partly pre-printed official document at Salamanca on the 29th November 1808. And framed with an engraved portrait of him.
Sir John Moore was a significant figure in the alliance with the Portuguese and the attacks on the Spanish and French which led up to the battle of Salamanca in 1812. Moore died in 1809 before seeing this action.
