An early 19th century very finely embroidered sampler, by Sarah Hoppett aged 12 years. Embroidered with an alphabet, verse and a central panel depicting the tree of life, birds, cornucopia and flowers, within a floral vined border. 31cm wide x 33cm high. Condition - most of the colours and embroidery are strong. The fine backing has moth holes in places. The green thread has also bled in places.
