A framed early 19th century wool worked embroidery of huntsman sitting with a rabbit and his three hunting dogs under a tree, by a stream, with a field and cottage in the background, the embroidery worked in fine multi-coloured wools, in mixed stem stitch and knot stitch, giving foliage, leaves and grass a slight ‘stump work’ look, the sky and huntsman’s face and hands lightly painted and tinted, 35cm wide x 44.5cm high.
Condition - good, all the colours are still strong and unfaded, there is no visible damage.
