Condition:
Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint would probably benefit from a light clean and has a fine but stable craquelure running through much of the paint in the sky and sea, but little evidence of craquelure over the sails and ensigns, suggesting there may well be some later paint involved, housed in an old gilt scroll frame, label verso for Collins Antiques of Bideford Devon together with a Christmas greetings card featuring the image.
