This piece was chosen for a National Gold Medal award at The School of Art, The Polytechnic, (309 Regent Street, London - now the University of Westminster) in 1914.
Gwen White's work was featured in The Studio circa 1916.

Condition:
Overall in good honest condition, perhaps slight fading to the central chequer panels with one vertical split in the left panel and a little paint smearing to the left side of that door, interior in very good order, the back decorated with a PS monogram, comes for sale with a letter dated 17th November 1914 from J E K Studd of The Polytecnic 309 Regent Street thanking Miss White for allowing him to purchase the triptych, a newspaper cutting 'The process explained by Gwen White' relating to the art of painting on woodwork, two pages from the studio with colour illustrations of a toilet case by Gwen White and a further black and white cutting from the studio of the same toilet case.
