A mid 18th century Louis XV style giltwood settee with upholstered shaped back and scroll arms, on scroll carved underframe with cabriole legs and scroll feet, 156cm wide, 82cm deep, 86cm high

Condition:
Later upholstery showing signs of ageing with some spotting and rubbing marks, underframe now with a matted and rubbed gilt finish which has flaked away in small pieces throughout, notable rubbing to the fronts of some of the legs and particularly the tips of the front feet, central back leg is a plain cabriole, all the others have the scroll feet, frame in good solid condition. Legs have been cut off approx. 10 inches from the ground and artfully re-attached, one is now loose.
