A pair of Chinese famille rose 'Wu Shuang Pu' porridge pots, liners and covers, Daoguang seal marks and of the period (1821-50), each of drum form, finely painted around the exterior with famous historical and mythical figures from the Wu Shuang Pu narrative (Table of Peerless Heroes) and inscribed with their respective names and titles, applied with two pairs of masks, suspended with copper handles, the domed covers with gilt lion-dog finials, turquoise glaze to the interior of the liner, 18.5cm wide, 16cm high, wood stands, star crack to one base

Condition:
Typical minor firing imperfections, one of the pots has a star crack to the base through the seal mark. All with some occasional wear to the gilding, otherwise in good condition.
