A Chinese Longquan celadon ‘twin fish’ marriage dish, Southern Song - Yuan dynasty, 13th/14th century, with sea-green to olive green glaze, the centre moulded with twin fish within two incised lines and a broad rim, the underside with burnt orange edge to the foot and petal moulded border,
Provenance- collected by the vendor’s grandfather while working and travelling in South East Asia in the 1930s - 1960s. 22cm diameter, cracks to base

Condition:
There are some fine cracks to the interior of the dish crossing one of the fish, showing as a firing crack on the underside as well. There is wear and scratching to the glaze front and back and other typical glaze imperfections. The glaze is olive green to one side of the dish.
