A Chinese Ming blue and white ‘lion’ dish, four character Ming mark, painted with four lions amid flowing ribbons around a central floral medallion, the cavetto with leafy scrolls and the broad rim with waves and circles, the underside decorated with foliate medallions, four character mark ‘Da Ming Nian Zao’ (Made during the Great Ming dynasty),
Provenance- collected by the vendor’s grandfather while working and travelling in South East Asia in the 1930s - 1960s. 31cm diameter, chip and cracks

Condition:
Typical glaze imperfections, scratches to the glaze and some firing cracks to the interior. There is a splinter chip to the underside of the rim with associated short hairline crack, and some star cracks to the base of the dish.
