A large Italian maiolica bombola, 18th century, possibly Sicilian, painted with an angel and flower and fruit festoons, partially glazed base, 35cm diameter, 29.5cm high, some restoration, crack to base

Condition:
Typical glaze imperfections and some fitting to the glaze on the other half of the angel figure. Restoration to a number of sections of the rim. There is a crack around the joint of the body to the foot, a small field hole in the immediate area, glaze losses and a shallow chip over to the edge of the foot and a few splint chips on the glaze on the interior and to the underside of the base.
