An early 20th century Russian 56 zolotnik yellow metal, four stone blue cabochon and rose cut diamond set propelling pencil holder, maker's mark, HW? overall 79mm, gross 18.7 grams, hung from a 9ct gold key ring, 3.8 grams, together with part of a yellow metal fob seal, 5.7 grams.

Condition:
Pencil holder only- Engraved inscription to one side of the case dated 6th Dec, 1916. Minor surface scratches to both sides of the case. Two small dings to the case also. Propelling mechanism works. Pencil lead broken, needs sharpening. Numerous small surface abrasions to all the cabochon stones. The largest stone has a chip/crack to the top. Eight small rose cut diamonds missing from the collar below the largest cabochon. The item has not been tested for gold.
