Provenance: purchased from Christie’s, 17 June 1999 sale, lot 240. Cup with reinforcement solution to secure to stem; some re-gilding at cup/stem joint; cover and plinth good; some wear to gilding throughout. There is a noticeable wear to the gilding on the edges and on the handles. The pedestal foot of the vase has been broken and well restored sometime ago, a little grubby in places otherwise in reasonable condition.
