A rare Chinese coral 'dragon' belt hook 18th/19th century, carved in high relief and open work with a chilong to the top,

Provenance- from the collection of the vendor’s late father who collected Chinese works of art in Hong Kong from 1950 to the 1970s. He lived in Shanghai from 1947-48 and became a successful businessman living and working in Hong Kong from 1949 until his death in 1994. 9.2 cm long, small loss to dragon horn, wood stand

Condition:
There is a small loss to the tip of the Dragon’s head left horn. This has been replaced with white candle wax - please see photos. Natural inclusions to the coral and a concave area on the right hand side of the belt hook, otherwise in good condition.
