Condition:
Both oils cleaned and relined 20 years ago or so, canvas's remain tight, both look a little dirty with a slightly flat dull finish, some scattered but stable craquelure throughout, signs of retouching particularly around the corners and the tops of the sky, image with cart in water signed in the centre, the other apparently unsigned, later ornate gilt frames with some small losses, labels verso for Christie's sale but no specific sale details given.
